The Starfish Family Services Crisis Shelter (formerly known as Counterpoint) helps families work through sensitive problems in a safe environment while offering temporary shelter and other counseling services to teens to help resolve family issues.
The center offers:
A shelter to provide youth with a safe place to stay for two weeks when they or their families experience crisis, abuse or homelessness
Individual and group counseling to help youth understand and cope with their problems, and to find healthy ways to deal with issues
Family involvement and counseling to help develop problem solving and coping skills to strengthen families
Prevention education to help resolve issues before they become serious problems
Weekly counseling for youth and families who still need help working through difficulties at home
